About this tool
- What is BIMI?
- Brand Indicators for Message Identification. A standard that lets organizations display their logo in email clients (Gmail, Apple Mail, Yahoo) next to authenticated messages. It requires DMARC enforcement (p=quarantine or p=reject) and an SVG logo.
- What is a VMC?
- Verified Mark Certificate — a digital certificate issued by a trademark authority that proves you own the brand logo. Gmail requires a VMC to display BIMI logos. It is obtained through DigiCert or Entrust after trademark verification.
- Why is my BIMI logo not showing?
- Common reasons: DMARC policy is not at quarantine or reject, the VMC is missing or expired, the logo SVG doesn't meet formatting requirements (must be tiny-ps SVG), or the BIMI record is malformed.
- Does BIMI work in all email clients?
- No. Gmail, Apple Mail, Yahoo, and a few others support BIMI. Outlook does not yet support the standard. Check the BIMI Group's compatibility table for the latest status.
